  1. HIGH-RESOLUTION AND LOW-RESOLUTION FILES
  2. Each image is saved at 300 dpi for high-resolution reproduction and at 
  3. 72 dpi for position-only placement. The low-resolution files possess 
  4. exactly the same canvas dimensions as their high-resolution counterparts 
  5. to provide precise and efficient image replacement when the file is 
  6. ultimately prepared for high-resolution output.

  8. RGB COLOR
  9. Images are saved in RGB color space. Check with your service bureau 
  10. and/or printer to determine when and how the conversion to CMYK color 
  11. space should be made.

  13. PATHS AND CHANNELS
  14. All high-resolution files are saved with a fourth-channel mask to assist in 
  15. compositing. The mask can also be converted to a path that can be 
  16. manipulated and saved as a clipping path.

  18. FILE NAMES
  19. Images of either resolution/canvas size can be identified by the first six 
  20. characters of the file name. The file name suffix identifies the specific 
  21. resolution and canvas size of the file: 
  22. MH.TIF = high resolution
  23. ML.TIF = low resolution
